Woolworth's marketing department faced the dual challenge of expanding to new markets while maintaining current team size. There was recognition of AI's potential for team upskilling and efficiency gains, however practical implementation experience across the departments was still limited.
The collaboration focused on four key areas, each tailored to specific departmental needs within Woolworth's marketing operations.
Through an AI-readiness workshop, the marketing team (17 FTEs) was enabled in content creation and communication, creative and design processes, data analysis and reporting, as well as project management and cooperation. A special emphasis was placed on developing practical, department-specific use cases that could be implemented immediately, supported by a 30-day implementation program to ensure sustainable integration of AI tools into daily workflows.
The implementation of AI tools and workflows across Woolworth's marketing department led to significant operational improvements.
